Hey Jackie, I'd say just try membership. Create a loving therapy plan for yourself for the upcoming years and see how you do with tinnitus. I'm glad you're doing better, and that can be a good time for introspection, to figure out why and to accentuate the positive steps you've taken...and possibly find some further resolution. Basically, you can explain your situation as a member, and we'll cover it on a Cure Tinnitus Show. If you take the Guided Support Package, then we create customized videos for you. It's kind of like having a health coach really, one that specializes in exactly the situation you're in, and one that has deep experience in helping folks improve and release their tinnitus. It's not just "one" coach though, it's a bunch of teachers and therapists and doctors who've agreed to aggregate their info...collect it and put it together...so that people in your situation can come and find their own way through to greater well being.

Hi - am doing really really well. Been doing EFT, Louise Hay, mind movies and a brain retraining prog. Just need as much of a push as possible now, because even though only a few weeks ago I hit absolute rock bottom and now I've moved way up the emotional scale (since I started accepting the situation), I keep forgetting how well I've done!

Before I was despairing, now I'm doing really really well - though sometimes I feel like I'm working hard at this, and I want things to just flow naturally. I also notice that sometimes I am doing brilliantly, but am still on a bit of a short fuse.

Bit confused by the possible purchases on this site. I basically could do with something that gives me a clear idea of my progress/ a sense of support. have spent too much money on this condition already, so would like a clear idea of what would be the most useful purchases. Jackie x

Hey Kevin, your onset sounds pretty bad. I'm sorry for that. I'm glad though that your brother had it and it went away, because it shows your doctor made an inaccurate statement. You can come out of crisis and into well being. Tinnitus settles when people are in a state of well being. There is a lot you can do, and here are a few suggestions. Check out: http://www.curetinnitus.org/teenage-tinnitus-can-you-help-me/ and watch http://www.curetinnitus.org/cure-tinnitus-show-21/ while it is still available publicly.

Then, I recommend you find a way to talk with the adults around you about a) joining curetinnitus.org (putting membership onto a credit card) and b) getting the therapy that will help you get better. To do "b," you'll need to learn a bit about the condition and what works for you. You can do that with Julian Cowan Hill's eBook "Tinnitus: From Tyrant To Friend." Then, you'll put together a personalized plan that helps you get better. And the cool thing about it is that every step is a relief. Each part "feels good," and feeling good is...well...quite nice actually.

I'm sorry your doctors words sent you into a bit of a tailspin...this can be a "great thing" for you, it really can...

Find adults who can and will help you. Talk with them. Have them watch some of the stuff on this site. Tell them what you connect with, what you believe, what hurts you, what helps you, and what you'd like...and sooner than you think...you'll likely find even more helpful people and talk with them...and a positive cycle can start "rolling" for you.

And in the end, like Jennifer Battaglino mentioned in our YouTube interview, if all goes well, you'll be grateful you had tinnitus now, before college, vocational school or other major life choices like career, family, etc.

My name is kevin, I'm 16 years old(turning 17 soon) and i have had tinnitus for a few days now. and i'm f**king moron (sry for the bad language but it's true). I've been consistantly listening to music at a loud volume with my ipod, pretty much all day everyday... I know very very stupid(which I'm now stopping for good), and I went to the doctor today and I told him about my situation..... he told me the tinnitus cannot be cured... and then he took out ear wax clogs out of both my ears. pretty gross. after he told me that, I cried, I cried infront of my father outside of the clinic, and I cried when I got in my house because I realized that I was an idiot and now im going to suffer through the pain forever and that when time goes on I will try to commit suicide. for the past few hours ive been trying to ignore it but when i think i don't hear it anymore it comes back(mainly because im thinking about it). i have been reading alot about tinnitus and hearing alot of peoples comments saying it will never go away and that really brings me down and the tinnitus gets a little louder. my brother said that when he was a teenager he did the same thing listened to music all night, and he had tinnitus. he said that it really bothered the hell out of him. but he told me he ignored it and the tinnitus went away. I really hope that happens with me but if it doesn't... I really really really hope what you say works. I want to say more but i don't know what else to say. you seem like a pretty nice and genuine guy from the videos I saw :)
