So how does one unsubscribe? I have been unable to find the screen to stop the monthly payments. The Tinnitus is no longer an issue and so I'd like to wish you well with your positive approach and move on.

the mindset of "is there a real cure" is more limiting than "i will create a healing plan for myself and get better day by day with appropriate support." as you move towards health, you will find and experience what is possible for you. our guidelines and support gently help you move from stuck to liberated. it is sad to experience what you are experiencing...at only 30 years old...i understand. now it's time to create an effective healing plan and move forward.

please just look on the right sidebar. because of my experience with our members, i don't really believe other websites who have pictures with names and cities of people who've healed themselves of tinnitus. we've had some fairly prominent people come through curetinnitus.org, and they simply don't want to have their names or identities revealed. even "just" people who have "normal" jobs...they don't want anything to impact their careers negatively, so they wish to remain anonymous. i will never EVER violate their trust in that i know who they are and do everything to maintain their privacy. because of the way our billing and sign-up system works, if your username is xyz123, then that's what it is...it would be a really really really big hacking task to figure out who's who.

anyway, the stories are real stories, and really, it's your experience that matters. if you wish to try us for one dollar, please do so, if you just want to get to know us through our free program, again...please do...and if you want to proceed with self-paced or guided-support options, then we have those available as paid membership options.

and we deliver...tinnitus is patterned and our experts are knowledgeable and very settling. we've condensed the path of healing from tinnitus to trackable levels, to flexible guidelines that allow you to implement what works for you...

we only accept payment from satisfied members who feel helped, we're real people with real addresses, real names, and real clinics.

Hi,
I recently have acquired tinnitus- about 2 weeks ago. I saw my doctor, and she said that I should learn to live with it (She actually has it herself). This is like the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. I have been trying to "get healthy" physically since '07. I keep thinking I might be reaching my goal, but continue to be thwarted. I have TMJD, have suffered from migraines in the past, and have a myriad of other health problems. The possibility of having this condition for life is not an option. What do you suggest as the first step toward finding a peaceful silence again?

Thanks,
Maggie

J., definitely look into it...also look into grounding technologies (earthing or grounding pads or sleep systems). there are lots of reasons for your body to respond with tinnitus, and an unsafe workplace could very well be a part of your "cause." the thing is, the tinnitus may "stick" even when you are not in the presence of the "worst of it" regarding EMF. Also, not everyone will respond to EMF with tinnitus...though it's possible that almost everyone responds with a type of stress reaction and that would need to be tested and researched. you can choose a route where you really investigate EMF, you can choose a route where you concentrate only on your own personal immunity, healing, and well-being. technologies that emit EMF waves...well...i mean from cell phones to WiFi...i mean...it's almost impossible to even consider whether the waves are safe or not...because most people are literally being blasted by these waves from nearly all directions. and no, it does not make sense to assume that they are safe...and no...i certainly don't "buy" that they have been tested, because they haven't. it's dumb to say that these technologies have been adequately tested. they haven't. period. we don't know if they are safe.

now, there are vacations one can take to "escape," and for me, i've been in basement restaurants and i just notice this "peace," and i'm like "huh, what is that?" and i pull out my cell phone and lo and behold...no service...

so, here we are, in a soup of man-made EMF. what are we going to do?

i do think it's possible for you to reduce your T significantly without "saving the world" from EMF's. but your workplace sounds like a good place to investigate. maybe there are tests you can do...physiological tests...environmental tests. maybe you can see how your body does with grounding and applying the 4 CureTinnitus.org Program Guidelines...

So, best to you and we're certainly here to help.

Hi Dainis,

I was just wondering if you have any information on the effects of EMFs (Electromagnetic Frequencies from things like mobile phones, towers and WiFis)? I started a job and 3 days later, for the first time in my life I got Tinnitus. My colleague in the desk next to me also had the condition. On investigation, my IT department told me that there was a powerful WiFi base station and aerial directly above my head. I also then noticed a mobile phone mast next door and another in front of my building and various other wireless technology throughout my office. I have a distinct feeling that I have been working amongst a high level of electromagnetic fields or some kind of electrical currents that may have been the catalyst for my tinitus.

Is there much information out there that you know of?

Thanks.

Regards,

J.

Hello,
I started having tinnitus in my left ear only a year and a half ago. I was told by doctors that there was nothing to do about it except maskers wich does not make sense to me. I have researched online for some kind of solution but most of what I found are companies trying to prey on the people with this condition. At any rate, I would welcome any sincere advice or help.
P.S.: I enjoyed the spirit and humour of the guy who wanted to jump from an airplane but don't do it, it must be quite painful. But thinking about it, the sound of the air during the fall would cover the tinnitus, so it might not be soo bad an idea.
Best regards,
Ariel

that is so very kind of you Karen, I am very glad you've joined. i personally find the sub menu tabs worthy of smoothing out, and i started to switch out the menu with another style...and then i needed to just leave it. over the next few months, i will be changing the theme (it will look similar, but will have a more secure framework in the background), and i will add a few more community features like an activity stream. this video shows you some recommended things to take a look at, and i am pleased you're sharing this part of your journey with us. http://screencast.com/t/KlMhnzlwRt

Thank you for all Dainis. I am really excited to get started. BTW, I am an award winning graphic designer and this site is easy to navigate and really peaceful to look at. And we with constant buzzing need that. Nice work! Thank you, thank you. I will begin my journey. Too many busy moments in the next few days (could that be a hint?) but I can't wait to sit and read!

I came across this site from watching a video about Visual Snow (which I believe is extremely rare but does exist and I have visual snow :()

Anyway I have Tinnitus with 20 years now. I got it first when I was 17 years old. I learned to live with up to two weeks ago when I was woke up by extremely loud Tinnitus in both my ears. That went away in my left ear within 24 hours , but its still relatively loud in my right ear. Most nights I managed to sleep with this but two nights ago it kept me awake because it was extremely loud.

This varies in loudness with the past two weeks. For instance : it was barely notiable this morning but now I can hear it over everything else. Also in the past 24 hours the hearing in my right ear has improved a lot.

My doctor saw excess wax in my right ear so I am having that cleaned this evening.

I am hoping that over time this website will help me deal with this. Also I came across another site http://www.tinnitusresearch.org/ which shows that over the past four years over 250 scientists from different fields of research are doing a great deal of research into tinnitus.

Thank you for the work you are doing for the people like myself suffering from this illness. My tinnitus started in 2007 after i went to the hospital for a irritated ear canal and the doctor prescribed "neomycin and polymyxin b sulfates and hydrocortisone otic suspension, usp" and something else i dont remember. It came on slightly and i didnt pay it too much attention untill i had a blackout spell and it became louder.I dont have ringing,it is my pulse and it is a awfull feeling. I now live it florida and it is even worse,i can't sleep without my tv on.I just can't believe that doctor gave me that medicine that gives people such a bad illness.God help us all.

I have had tinnitus for decades but it recently worsened after visiting a rifle range during which I wore earplugs but not earmuffs. A subsequent test indicated my hearing had significantly diminished, and my doctor advised that tinnitus was the result of the hearing loss. He drew an analogy of tinnitus being much like the phantom limb sensation an amputee feels, whose body is telling him the severed limb is still there.

He recommended playing classical music through earphones during the day to drown out the quiet and recondition the mind to sound, alleviating the tinnitus. He also put me on Xanax anti-depressant drug to get to sleep. I have no idea whether the music will work to provide a cure. The Xanax just provides the fatigue necessary to induce sleep; the tinnitus is there.

coming into contact with deep desperation is quite common, but does not need to last...and surgical procedures preceding the onset of tinnitus is certainly common. when you begin to apply the 4 CureTinnitus.org Program Guidelines, the relevant emotional, physical, personal, and interpersonal factors will be able to bubble up, and each can be taken to an appropriate healing resource.

Hi Dainis. Have read thro' everything. Many of the comments from people resonate with me. I developed T overnight. One day I had PERFECT hearing- REALLY perfect! and the next day I had lost many of the lower frequencies and had terrible noises in my head. The 'co-incidence' was that the day before, I had been given a lumbar puncture...Of course I was told there was NO connection, although after a friend searched online [ I was in hospital at the time ], I told the consultant that hearing loss and tinnitus WERE connected to having a lumbar puncture. Eventually he gave me 1 gram of steroids by IV over 3 days and it did help- my hearing improved although NOT back to what it was and still isn't - 4 years later.

I have experienced similar misery to others and at one time felt I would rather die that feel I had to live the rest of my life like this.

I plan to see Julian Cowan, even tho' I have had many Cranio-Sacral treatments in the past which were nice, but...

Have you heard of, or come into contact with anyone who has tinnitus as a result of a lumbar puncture ? and have they had any success with your programme ?

Thanking you in advance for your reply:-)

I have had Tinnitus for several years, I managed to control it by putting it out of my mind and doing other things. But when you become fatigued and stressed Tinnitus comes back to the fore. I live in the UK. I have just returned from a vacation in Virginia, I'm not sure if my problem was down to cabin pressure in the aircraft or tiredness, but my Tinnitus is the worst now it's ever been and the loudest. But I will prevail without buying into cures. I have ME which was diagnosed 10 years ago. At my worst hour Tinnitus is trying to take me down and add to my many problems. i will find a a way out of this maze. I'm sure you mean well to help others but someone is always making a fast buck out of health problems. i know 'cause I've looked for a cure from ME/CFS. I have climbed out of the slimey pit many times but slipped back on several occasions.

Tinnitus can be associated with desperation. That generally lets up when you have our CureTinnitus.org Program Guidelines in place in your life, and when you've followed in the footsteps of people who've healed themselves already. The path is different for everyone, though we can give you a "map" out from tinnitus, so to speak...you may want to try our course. Our complimentary eZine/course is back up, and our membership options offer self-paced and guided-support options. We only accept money from people who feel helped by our site and community.
