Anyone know what to do with 'pulsatile tinnitus'??

Driving me mad-every heartbeat is felt and heard in the left ear, like 86,400 beats a day, loud and clear-oh, what to do to get some respite from it??????????

See a doctor and get a referral to a specialist to get some relief. Also, you want to determine whether or not there is an underlying medical condition.

I have tinnitus as well, but mine is bilateral and not pulsatile. You have my empathy. I use a white-sound generator, which just sounds like rushing air, in order to sleep. And I always have some sort of noise going in the room. You can also get fitted for a special hearing-aid type device that uses a high-frequency sound to mask the tinnitus and improve your hearing. Talk to your doctor, and ask him to refer you to an otolaryngologist (and ear-nose-and-throat guy). He will be able to help. My best wishes to you.

get help immediately from your ENT doc!!! if you cant go to the doctor at this time, it is best to rest and dont strain much as this will elevate your blood pressure and will worsen the condition.

I went to the doctor, ENT specialist, and he said he had had tinnitus for 40 years, get used to it! He didn’t think that my condition warranted any further testing. My insurance won’t pay for anything more. So I get scared, and that doesn’t help at all.
